SNOW CONE RECIPES
Helpful Tips
• It is best to make recipes in advance as some will require time to cool.
• Be sure that your syrup is completely cooled before drizzling over
shaved ice.
• Squeeze-bottles work best to pour syrup over shaved ice.
Traditional Snow Cone
1 cup (250 ml) water
2 cups (500 ml) white sugar
1 package [0.13 ounce (3.8 ml)] sweetened/unsweetened,
fruit-flavoured soft drink mix
24 ice cubes
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, and boil for about
1 minute. Remove from heat, and stir in the powdered drink mix. Allow to cool in
the refrigerator, and store in a container that will be easy to pour. Pour the
mixture over shaved ice to flavour it.
